Professional Registered PA Surveyor

Morris Knowles & Associates Inc. has an immediate opening for a professional registered Surveyor. The position requires both field and office work and the ideal candidate will be registered in Pennsylvania as a Professional Land Surveyor. Registration in WV is also beneficial.

The job description includes supervision and management of surveying and mapping projects, preparation of legal descriptions, knowledge of boundary, topo, and ALTA Land Title Surveys, preparation of construction staking plans and record plans, as well as proposal preparation and client contact and coordination.

Strong communication skills, ability to work as a team member, and a current PA driver's license is required.

Civil 3D Technicians

Morris Knowles & Associates is seeking multiple civil engineering Civil3d Technicians with an Associates Degree in drafting and design and/or minimum 2-3 yr’s experience to support our ever growing Land Development and Energy Clients. Must be proficient in Autocad Civil3D and Microsoft Office products. This position will assist project managers and engineers with the drafting, design and plan preparation for our residential, commercial, retail and energy clients.  Work will also include estimating construction quantities and occasionally field construction observations.

 

Civil 3D Designers

Morris Knowles & Associates is seeking multiple civil engineering Civil3d Designers with 5 or more yr’s experience in Civil3D. Must have experience in site grading, local/county/state permitting, stormwater management, and erosion & sedimentation control designs.  Must be proficient in Autocad Civil3D, Hydrocad, Hydrflow, HECRAS and Microsoft Office products. This position will assist project managers in preparing plans, reports and permitting for our residential, commercial, retail and energy clients. 

 

Civil Engineering Project Manager

Morris Knowles & Associates is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager with 8 or more years of project management experience.  The selected candidate will be responsible for project and client management, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, billing and collections, team building and mentoring, and marketing and business development of professional services.  Must have a Professional Engineers registration in Pennsylvania.  Specific responsibilities may include the following:                              

Manage projects of moderate to high complexity.

  • Supervise and mentor project managers and other team members
  • Schedule and coordinate design and production of plan documentation including subconsultants and team members from other areas of company.
  • Prepare and administer contracts, change orders, and invoicing for clients and projects.
  • Manage client relationships and develop new client and project opportunities.

 

Construction Field Inspector I (Part Time – As needed).

MKA is looking for team members to be available on short notice to perform construction observation for utility projects and paving projects that can range from a single day to several weeks.

Must maintain accurate records via hardcopy and digital input.   Should be familiar with construction plans, drawings, and specifications.   Work is outdoors and may be on call during non-standard hours.  NICET certification a plus.

 

Construction Field Monitoring Specialist (Part Time – As needed).

MKA is looking for a team member to be available on short notice to perform construction observation for utility projects, paving projects, slip repair and slope stability oversight, lime and cement soil stabilization oversight and recommendations, QA/QC inspections, compaction and nuclear density gauge testing that can range from a single day to several weeks.

Must maintain accurate records via hardcopy and digital input.   Should be familiar with construction plans, drawings, and specifications.   Work is outdoors and may be on call during non-standard hours.  NICET, ACI, Troxler training certification a plus.
